Visa scam: Govt to sue 'The Sun' over false report

 

Pakistani officials dismissed the claims made by the British newspaper.


Federal Cabinet has decided to take legal action British Newspaper  The Sun  for publishing a false report about Pakistan s passport scandal.

Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf chaired the cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Federal Interior Secretary, Chairman NADRA and DG Passport Department were also present in  the meeting.

Earlier, The Sun tabloid claimed it had busted a racket involving a politician in Lahore that could have given access to the London Games as part of the Pakistani contingent in return for one million rupees.

The claims were dismissed by Pakistan’s Olympic chef de mission Aqil Shah
