Sunni Tehreek meeting: MQM to announce date for roundtable conference

KARACHI:  A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) met the leaders of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, headed by Sarwat Ejaz Qadri, late Friday night.

According to the MQM, the party will announce a date for the planned roundtable conference after the meetings with political parties conclude.
The meeting was part of MQM’s ongoing efforts to hold a roundtable conference on national security, featuring stakeholders – including military leadership, religious and political leaders and intellectuals.
Meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari in Karachi, the Jamaat-e-Islami in Lahore and the Awami National Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid in Islamabad took place earlier this week.
